Initiation of Breastfeeding is a natural course after the birth of a baby. It is natural and healthy and as long as children were born, mothers have been breastfeeding. Yet, it is sometimes in practice a challenge that rises many doubts; can I breast feed my baby, do I have enough milk, etc.

Suzanne Colson, PhD, brings a new perspective on breastfeeding, which we will discuss during the upcoming ZwangerMeetUp. Biological Nurturing (BN), or ‘Laid-back breastfeeding’, helps mothers and babies to interact in a positive way, which supports breastfeeding initiation.

This approach means getting comfortable with your baby and encouraging your own and your baby’s natural breastfeeding instincts. Applying BN is easy! From a biological point of view, both mothers and babies have an innate ability to breastfeed.

Join us Sunday, April 3rd in the Womanhood studio between 10.00h – 11:30h to meet and talk about Breastfeeding and Biological Nurturing.

PS. Breastfeeding mothers will be greatly supported by an understanding partner. Therefore make sure, also this time, to bring your partner with you.
