Clear out the cobwebs and awaken your body to SPRING with this delicious workshop!
Combining Myofascial Release with a gentle Yin Yoga practice, this long class is a sweet invitation to release tension, calm your nervous system and restore mobility in the body.
Spring and the Wood Element:
In Yin Yoga we work with the elements of the seasons: Spring invites us to connect to the Wood element and the renewal and awakening in nature. With a focus on loosening up hips and legs, we will support the organs of liver and gallbladder, to enhance the smooth flow of Qi (vital energy). All so you can move, dance, swing fully energized into the warmer time of the year.
Myofascial Release (MFR) is a hands-on technique that involves gentle, sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions. You will learn how to safely apply this by yourself. MFR is a versatile tool and may help to reduce pain and stiffness in the body, restore mobility and improve overall well-being.
Yin Yoga too looks into nourishing the deeper tissues in the body, such as ligaments around the joints. With the combination of MFR and Yin Yoga we can open the body more fully to increase the circulation of blood & Qi to the tissues of the body.
The cost for the class includes two tennis balls that you can keep after the session to practice at home.
Please bring comfortable clothes and an extra pair of socks.
