In this two hour workshop we take our time to explore how Yin Yoga can help us get through the cold winter months – nourished and balanced.

Winter and the Water Element
In this most dark and still time of the year our bodies naturally crave more time to relax and slow down. Yin Yoga is a wonderful way to tend to this desire in today‘s fast-paced world.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Winter is linked with the Water Element. This season is about going inwards and watering the seeds so that in the new year we can blossom into life again.

During our practice we will pay special attention to the Organs in the body associated with it, the Kidneys and the Urinary Bladder, and support them by different Yin poses, breathing exercises and self-massage techniques. Learn to become flexibel and fluid like water.

What is Yin Yoga?
In Yin Yoga we move at a slower pace, holding poses for up to five minutes. Instead of heating up, we relax the muscles as much as possible. In these passive poses we can work the deeper connective tissues – tendons, ligaments and fascia.

This class is suitable for both men and women, no prior experience needed.
