Yin yoga is back at Womanhood Studio!
Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a nice complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) style of Hatha or Flow yoga. While Hatha as well as Flow yoga emphasizes the lengthening and contracting of our muscles, Yin yoga targets the connective tissues.
In practice, this means that instead of staying in poses for a few breaths, or flowing through the poses, in Yin yoga we will stay in a pose for as long as 3 to 5 minutes. The challenge here is to keep the mind calm, to find a state of meditation and to let go of any physical and mental discomfort.
We will end this workshop with a snack and hot tea!
Wear something comfortable that allows you to move.
